STUDIO 60 - Pilot

OMG it's here! Although I'd seen the premiere several (yeah like 5) times before Monday, the fact that its ON now is uberexciting. I cannot say enough great things about this show. Seriously, its totally my new fav! And next week I get an ep I haven't seen plus GG and Mars! Good times. So I'm starting this blogging season with my newest obsession, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. I'm not going to talk about the new shows that I don't like, so this is the first of the new shows that I will absolutely be reviewing. I may do a general post on why the ones I'm not reviewing suck though:)

Although I alluded to my love in my TCA review, I cannot express how much I LOVE Matthew Perry and am so freakin' excited that he's back in my living room! His performance was stellar in the pilot, and I'm sure it will continue. I'd never really watched anything with Brad Whitford (never was a West Winger) but I gotta say, he's good. The chemistry between BW and MP is off the charts. I've never been an Amanda Peet fan, but she's alright in this, and has some of the funniest lines. I think she'll probably grow on me, and the rest of the cast is AWESOME!

So, Studio 60...I think Aaron Sorkin is a genius and a show about tv, perfection. Judd Hirsch's monologue at the beginning was dead on and actually really meaningful and personal to me. I love the art/commerce debate. It's a little too early to talk about actual plot, but I can't see it dropping any of its amazing quality. For the 86th time....I'm a fan!
